This December, I am going to say yes. To gathering all of my children around me, to entering into a sacred space of being together, creating new memories, relishing old traditions, and leaning deeply into the beauty and comfort of Christmas. I am going to shift my perspective from getting things done, to being there. From checking off lists, to delighting my children. From getting through the rituals of the day, to experiencing the joy and wonder and blessing of living with children through the holidays.

Mackenzie

ps. I just recorded a podcast called Creative Family Advent and the Sacred Mess of Motherhood. I’d love to sit with you at my kitchen table and talk more about embracing the mess, saying yes, and entering into the sacred season of Christmas with your family. If you’d like to listen, click HERE.
