Four years ago today, Randy and I had a dream come true moment.
Do you remember this?
In 2011, we started an indiegogo campaign to raise money to record The Seven Year Scratch (later titled Home), an album of love and family songs we had written to one another over the course of our relationship. Here is that video–check out the middle section for a sweet little montage of lots of old home videos of Randy and me. (Who were those people???!!!)
I started this blog as a way to post updates for our generous supporters and write about the cd and our family. A couple of years, kids, and thousands of hours of recording later, On November 15, 2013,–four years ago today–friends gathered together at the beautiful Sautee Nachoochee Center for our cd release concert. It was a night that will glow in my memory as long as I live.
Thanks so much to those of you who contributed to the making and sharing of this cd. It was truly a labor of love for us. And we are so proud to have these songs to share. We are so humbled by the love poured out on us to make this happen.
Celebrate with us by giving the album a listen. Below is a link to the digital cd. Click on View Track List to see all the songs. You can listen to the full tracks for two of our favorites, Winter Love Song and Pitter Patter and previews of the other 12 songs here.
