I can’t let this day go by without mentioning that it was one year ago today that started a series of events that has totally changed our lives. I had just found out I was pregnant with our fourth child, we were at the close of an especially hard summer financially, and I was just about to resign myself to the fact that losing our house was a serious possibility. Our car died on the highway (with all the kids and instruments in it), and we did not have a dream of having the money to buy another one. It wasn’t worth fixing, and even if it had been, we couldn’t fit all of the kids in it once baby number four came into the picture. We were completely stuck and didn’t know what we were going to do.
I am amazed at the series of events that has taken place in the past year. I feel like God has used the life of this baby to teach us an important lesson–that He truly will provide for us if we trust in Him. Our son’s name is so prophetic to me–Remy (from the city of ravens). Just as God feeds the ravens and clothes the lilies of the field, so does He care for us.
I am reposting this story again because it is so important to me, and because today is the birthday of this great blessing in our life. Thanks so much for following this blog. It means so much to Randy and me.
